In this article:
Described a then recently developed technique for tissue culture believed to have promise as a method for producing large numbers of plants in a short period of time through clonal propagation.
An overview of the technique and cultivars to which to had it has been applied is given.
The article concludes with a cautionary note regarding the still experiment nature of the technique and with the intended direction for further study of the technique.
