In this article:

Leaves of grapevine usually contain appreciable amounts of starch.

Although starch has not been detected chemically in extracts of grape berries, traces of starch have recently been found in berries examined by light microscopy.

This paper proposes an explanation for the low concentrations of starch in grape berries based on a comparative study of enzymes associated with starch metabolism in leaves and berries of grapevine.
