In this article:
The yield of the sultana was estimated at the commencement of the growing season on the basis of bud fertility. It was found an approximate forecast of the yield of any vineyard may be made one season in advance.
A method is suggested in which the basis of estimate is the amount of crop matured during the previous season, with suitable allowences made for any undue loss of potential crop which occurred during that season.
