In this article:
Suggestions are made regarding methods for stabilising the annual yield of the sultana vine.
The first proposed method is by pruning so the potential crop approximates the carrying capacity of the vine.
Methods of estimating both carrying capacity and potential crop are described.
The second method involves the use of light pruning and partial disbunching to increase the leaf fruit ratio. Experimantal evidence in support of the methods is provided.
