The paper give an account of the organisation of an Enquiry Committee constituted in the Nyah-Woorinen district for the purpose of improving the yield and quality of dried fruit produced in those districts.

The investigations carried out are also discussed. More specifically, growth and maturity of the grapevine were studied, pruning trials and relationship of vegetative growth to yield, and free water and drainage investigations.
