The paper provides some information on the absorption pathway of 3H-glucose supplied to the pedicels of detached berries under laboratory conditions. Autoradiography showed that the label was distributed throughout the fruit within one hour.
The general pattern of 3H-glucose accumulation by excised berries was similar to the deposition patten of 14C-labelled photosynthate within attached fruit.
