Provides information on a service for the objective identification of grapevine material through DNA analysis, allowing the comparison of submitted material to a database of two hundred known varieties.
The development of the service and the required procedures for safe transport of samples is given.
Likely uses for the service and possible ways the database could be expanded are discussed.
