The paper consists of two parts. The first reports on calibration of vine transpiration measured by Granier sensors using a gravimetric system, and a comparison between the Granier method and the Greenspan heat pulse method in field grown vines.

The second part discusses some practical issues with the application of the Granier method in grapevines and other plants.
