In this article:
The effect of different strains of leafroll disease on composition of field grown Sultana grapes is examined.
Vines with mild or severe LR symptoms had higher malate, tartrate and potassium concentrations in berries than those without symptoms.
Concentration of potassium and malate was similar between those with mild and severe symptoms, however tartrate concentration was higher and berry size smaller in those with severe symptoms. Effect of LR strain on acid charactistics is discussed.
