IN THE PAST, the normally recommended dip for Gordos and Waltham Cross grapes has been a “hot dip” consisting of 0.3 to 0.5 per cent, caustic soda in water at 195 to 212 deg. F.
This was considered particularly necessary for Gordos or Waltham Cross to be seeded.
