During the 1987 and 1988 summer months, three novel modifications to the traditional Sunraysia vine fruit drying racks were trialled.
The modifications sought to bring improved solar technologies to the dried vine fruit industry for rack drying of sultanas so as to economically improve the quality of the dried fruit product.
