In this article:
It appears that the bud strain of E. vitis infests all the important grape varieties grown in the irrigated vineyards of the Murray Valley.
The amount of damage varies with variety, and in some appears to be of considerable economic importance.
Control has up to now proved impossible and an exact evaluation damage will not be possible until complete control on at least an experimental scale can be achieved, with work proceeding along those lines.
